lollipop late to what party?

So. That's probably your question after seeing a title like that. Well, if you looked at the directory on the Home tab, you'll have already seen what this section's all about. But, hey, I've got a bigger box here! So let's do a full description!

Growing up I was really only a Playhouse Disney or Nickelodeon kid, maybe with the occassional Nick Jr. (but in all honesty that was really only for Blues Clues, if memory serves). When a lot of kids were watching Powerpuff Girls and Courage the Cowardly Dog, I was watching iCarly and Spongebob Squarepants. Which, hey, still some powerhouses in children's entertainment!... But now at 22, I find myself having to say "Oh, I've never seen that" to so many shows that my friends have seen. And if we're being honest they're mostly all from Cartoon Network, thanks to one episode of Adventure Time that I couldn't watch them.

And it isn't just kids shows I missed out on! You know some powerhouses in the online horror sphere, like Marble Hornets or even Local 58? Yeah, I've never seen either, and I call myself an online horror fan!

... Well, I guess to give myself a little bit of credit, Marble Hornets started in 2009 when I was 6, so... Just a little bit before I was old enough for that sort of stuff. I didn't even know what a Slenderman was at the time.

So, that leads me to this! My journey to visiting media that I managed to miss out for various reasons (mostly because it wasn't until Five Nights at Freddy's 2 came out that I actually started watching online videos (and even then I used the Yahoo! videos tab because I didn't know if I could use YouTube and was too scared to ask) and I was banned from Cartoon Network). "Well, why are you making an entire section of your Neocities for this?" Well, 1) because I can you silly goose, and 2) because this will hopefully give me the motivation to actually get me started on this journey of media understanding. So I'll be jotting down any thoughts I have while watching everything and posting them here in official blog posts!

All of the posts after this should hopefully be sorted in descending order, with the most recent at the top, so long as I don't fuck up any formatting. And if I do... Hopefully I notice (but if you notice before I do, send me an ask about it on my Tumblr).

Actually, speaking of Tumblr, if there's anything you think I should watch, shoot me an ask and let me know! Obviously I'll have the final say, I won't watch just any old series (I am giving the hardest "NO" on the DreamSMP and Homestuck, I've survived this long without seeing them and I will continue to survive), but chances are I'll take the suggestion and put it on the back burner.
